Jose Mourinho: Conditions ‘perfect’ for Liverpool to win the title
Jose Mourinho is convinced that Liverpool have a genuine chance of winning the Premier League this season

Jose Mourinho believes that Liverpool have a great chance of winning the Premier League because of their “perfect” conditions this season.
The Reds beat Sunderland on Wednesday to move to within one point of leaders Chelsea with seven games to play and the Blues still set to travel to Anfield.
The season for them is the perfect season to do what they are doing

With Liverpool not competing in Europe this season and having been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, the Chelsea manager feels that Brendan Rodgers’ men have a very realistic chance of lifting the top-flight trophy in May.
Asked if he has been surprised by Liverpool’s progress this season, Mourinho replied: “No. When you have six days a week to prepare for a match, six days a week maybe [training] twice a day, you have conditions to improve that nobody else has.
“At the same time, their players [have] no accumulation of fatigue. You can see clearly that some of their players are not paying the consequences of overtime and accumulation.
“You see freshness, you see even players of a certain age not needing to be rested for matches because they rest during the week.
“So the season for them is the perfect season to do what they are doing.”
Liverpool host Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday, while Chelsea travel across London to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
