Jose Mourinho: Why my Chelsea won’t get complacent
The Chelsea manager is certain that his team will not get complacent after their flying start to the season

Jose Mourinho has insisted that Chelsea will not get complacent in the race for the Premier League title.
The Blues head into Saturday’s clash with Sunderland six points clear at the top of the table, with Mourinho’s men yet to lose a game in all competitions this term.

“The risk of a bad period. The risk of injuries. The risk of unlucky matches. The risk of other teams growing up, a great evolution, and becoming stronger during the season.
“Complacency is not a risk we have because it’s not the profile of this group at this moment.
“We were winning 5-0 against Schalke in the 88th minute and Eden Hazard made a sprint to defend. Winning 5-0 at minute 88. They have changed.
“There was an evolution in these young people, a clear evolution. I don’t think the group, as a group, can be complacent.”
Mourinho also rubbished speculation linking Chelsea with a sensational swoop for Lionel Messi during his news conference on Friday.
