Juan Mata is convinced that Manchester United will find their form this month and string together a series of positive results.

The Spanish playmaker played the full 90 minutes as the Red Devils ran out 3-0 winners at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday to keep alive their faint hopes of a top-four finish this season.

It is a crucial month for us and, to be honest, I am very positive about it

And Mata, who moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea back in January, is certain that David Moyes’ men will be able to emerge out of a pivotal period in positive fashion.

“It is a crucial month for us and, to be honest, I am very positive about it. After being here for five games [before West Brom], I can feel it in the players that we have and the things that we can do,” Mata told United’s website.

“We know that we have to win as many games as we can until the end of the season and we have to start with this month. We play against very big teams like Liverpool and Manchester City and we will try to win as many points as we can.”

The 25-year-old continued: “Every time I watched a game between Man United and Man City, or Man United and Liverpool, you can see that the whole country is watching that game.

“It is a massive game for both teams, so now that I am here I will try to enjoy both matches. Obviously we will want to win and I think we can do it. We play both games at home and I think, in front of our supporters, we can do it.”
