Jamie Carragher believes that the main aspect which places Tottenham above Arsenal this season is Spurs’ “intensity”.

The Lilywhites guaranteed that they will finish above their bitter local rivals for the first time in 22 years when they sealed a 2-0 win over Arsenal thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane on Sunday.

Tottenham have earned plenty of praise for their performances this term and Mauricio Pochettino’s men are currently second in the table, four points behind Chelsea with four games left to play.

And Carragher has praised the Lilywhites’ work-rate this season under Pochettino, highlighting it as one of the key differences between Spurs and Arsenal.

Carragher said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football: “That’s the huge difference between the two teams: intensity.”

Spurs have the chance to close the gap to Chelsea down to just one point when they take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Friday night.
