Arsenal backed to pull off double transfer swoop for two star attackers
Robert Pires says Arsenal could manage to sign both Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe this summer

Robert Pires believes that Arsenal could manage to sign both Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe this summer.
The north London side have been linked with a host of players over the last few weeks but have so far only completed the signing of left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
Arsenal have been touted as making bids for both Mbappe and Lacazette in recent days but it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be able to lure the French stars to The Emirates.
However, Arsenal legend Pires believes that the north London side could be set to tie up deals for the Monaco and Lyon attackers – as well as get both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to sign new contracts with the club.
Pires is quoted as saying by Metro: “Arsenal can do both, they can extend the contracts of Sanchez and Ozil and why not buy two or three players?
“Now in the UK anything is possible. The most important thing is to keep Sanchez and Ozil and if they buy Lacazette and Mbappe.
“If Arsene Wenger buys some players they can lift the Premier League trophy.”
Any signings that Arsenal do make this summer will have to make do without Champions League football next season after the Gunners missed out on a top-four finish in the Premier League.
The north London side did finish the season on a high, however, by beating Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final last month.
