Arsenal have handed Arsene Wenger a budget of £150m to spend on new signings this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that the Gunners have handed their manager a hefty “warchest” to allow him to significantly strengthen his squad ahead of next season.

The same story says that Kylian Mbappe, Alexandre Lacazette and Virgil van Dijk are three of the Gunners’ top targets this summer, with Ross Barkley and Jordan Pickford also said to be on Arsenal’s shortlist.

The article claims that the north London side have made significant transfer funds available for their manager as he looks to transform Arsenal into title challengers next season.

Wenger recently committed his future to the club by signing a new two-year contract with Arsenal last week.

The Frenchman has been coming to terms with the disappointment of seeing his team miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League, as they finished fifth behind Liverpool.

However, Arsenal did end the season on a high by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
