Arsenal are ready to up their bid to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco to £95m this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Gunners are ready to make a “real statement of intent” by upping their bid to a world record £95m.

The same story states that Arsenal had an £87m offer for Mbappe rejected by Monaco last week but that the Gunners are determined to step up their efforts to land the teenager.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be on the lookout for a number of attacking signings this summer as he looks to strengthen his squad following the disappointment of their fifth-placed finish this season.

The report claims that Mbappe is firmly on the radar of both Manchester clubs but that Arsenal are keen to steal a march and lead the race for the 18-year-old striker.

It may not be easy for the Gunners, however, as the story also claims that Monaco are determined to keep hold of their prized asset – who scored 26 goals this season – beyond the summer transfer window.
