Arsenal need to resolve one issue to secure first summer signing – report
Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac is poised to sign with Arsenal once term of his contract is sorted, according to reports
Sead Kolasinac will become the first Arsenal summer signing once the two parties have agreed upon the length of the defender’s contract, according to reports.
GianlucaDiMarzio.com is reporting that the Gunners are poised to complete the first piece of transfer business in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The same article states that the only crinkle in the proposed transfer deal is the length of the Bosnia-Herzegovina international’s contract with Arsenal.
The Italian media outlet claims that the two options are a four-year deal with the option to an extend for an extra season or a five-year contract.
The story goes on to reveal that Kolisanic has already said goodbye to his Schalke team-mates ahead of swapping the Bundesliga for the Premier League next season.
Arsenal ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table this season after finishing a point behind Liverpool in the race to secure a place in next term’s Champions League.
The north London side haven’t won the Champions League despite losing to Barcelona in the final in 2006.
However, they ended the season on a high by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
