Aaron Ramsey sends message to Eden Hazard ahead of Arsenal v Chelsea
Aaron Ramsey tells Eden Hazard that Arsenal will be out to stop him in the FA Cup final at Wembley
Aaron Ramsey has warned Eden Hazard that Arsenal will be ready to keep him quiet in Saturday’s FA Cup final clash against Chelsea.
The north London side head into the game looking to end the season on a high after the disappointment of their fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last weekend.
Arsenal were beaten 3-1 by the Blues when the two teams last met in the Premier League earlier this season, with Hazard scoring a superb solo goal at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Gunners were 3-0 winners when Chelsea travelled to The Emirates at the start of the campaign.
And Ramsey says Arsenal have been working on their gameplan to keep Chelsea quiet in Saturday’s crunch FA Cup final clash at Wembley.
Ramsey told Arsenal Player: “I think the way we started the [home] game in the first half was very good.
“We won the game in the first half really. We were very quick, we counter-attacked well, closed them down, got about them and everything seemed to come together on that day.
“I’m sure something similar will be required to beat them in the final as well.
“It was a different game [away] and we perhaps let individuals have a bit too much space. Hazard went on a bit of a run and put the ball in the net.
“We can’t let that happen again, we have to be right in his face and stop that at source.”
Chelsea head into the game fresh from lifting the Premier League trophy in front of their home fans last weekend as they sealed their second title in three seasons.
