Jamie Carragher predicts where Chelsea will finish
The Liverpool legend is backing leaders Chelsea to answer the questions asked of them in the title race

Jamie Carragher is backing Chelsea to win the Premier League title despite their setback against Crystal Palace last weekend.
The Premier League leaders lost 2-1 to Sam Allardyce’s side at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon after Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke overturned Cesc Fabregas’s opener.
Chelsea were unable to conjure a second-half equaliser in west London as Antonio Conte’s succumbed to their second loss in 23 games in the Premier League.
The Blues don’t have long to dwell on the results ahead of the visit of fourth-placed Manchester City in their top-flight clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Chelsea are seven points ahead of their closest rivals Tottenham and a further four points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ about the threat Tottenham pose to Chelsea in the title race with nine games to go, Liverpool legend Carragher backed Conte’s side to respond and to go on to win the title.
“All Tottenham can do is put the pressure [on Chelsea]. Looking at Chelsea, with the manager and players that they have, you feel that they will answer those questions.”
However, Carragher admitted that he is hoping Tottenham can put pressure on Chelsea to keep the title race alive with nine games to play.
“But it’s good they are being asked questions because for the last six weeks you felt no one is really chipping away at that lead,” Carragher added.
“If Tottenham can keep going, it looks like they will be the ones after Sunday, and hopefully we’ll have a title race.”
