Eden Hazard sends message to Antonio Conte about Chelsea signings
The Chelsea forward wants Antonio Conte to strengthen the squad in the summer transfer window
Eden Hazard believes Antonio Conte does need some summer signings to prepare the Chelsea squad to complete in four competitions next term.
The Italian coach took over the reins of the west London side at the end of the 2015-16 season after Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table.
Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season in charge as the Blues ended the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea became the first Premier League club to win 30 games en route to the title to secure a return to the Champions League after a one-season absence.
The Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley after goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey ended Conte’s hopes of completing the double in his first season.
Speaking to Strait Times about whether Chelsea can win the quadruple next season under Conte, Hazard said:
“It’s the dream of players to win everything [the quadruple next season] but in football, it’s very hard.
“We will work for that and we will see. We won the league and if we want to achieve more, we have to improve and work more.
“And if we bring in some new players, why not?”
The Belgium international scored 15 goals and made seven assists in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign.
