Rio Ferdinand: I haven’t seen Man United boss Jose Mourinho like this in years

Rio Ferdinand admits that he has not seen Jose Mourinho as animated as he was on Wednesday night for many years.
The Manchester United boss celebrated wildly on the pitch in Stockholm on Wednesday night after watching his side book their place in next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League final against Ajax.
It has been a mixed first season for Mourinho at Old Trafford following his appointment last summer, with the Red Devils struggling to find consistent form in the Premier League.
Manchester United ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table but still managed to secure Champions League qualification thanks to their 2-0 win over Ajax in Sweden.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand feels that he has not see Mourinho that emotional since he was Porto manager.
Speaking on BT Sport after Wednesday’s game, Ferdinand said: “Jose Mourinho has been under immense pressure.
“The emotion he showed at the end of the game, I haven’t seen that since the Porto goal at Old Trafford. He is so animated.”
Manchester United will take on either Juventus or Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup in Macedonia in August.
