Jesse Lingard makes prediction about Man United next season
Jesse Lingard is certain that Manchester United will be able to challenge for the Premier League title next season
Jesse Lingard is convinced that Manchester United will have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a strong end to the campaign and celebrated winning the Europa League title for the first time in the club’s history last week after beating Ajax in the final.
That triumph secured Manchester United’s place in next season’s Champions League and made up for their disappointing sixth-placed finish in the Premier League table.
Jose Mourinho also led the Red Devils to the EFL Cup title in what has been a largely strong campaign for the Portuguese coach at the club.
Attentions will now inevitably turn towards the summer transfer window and the players Manchester United will try and sign ahead of next season.
And Red Devils winger Lingard is convinced that Manchester United have what it takes to become title challengers next season.
“There have been a lot of positives this season,” Lingard told Manchester United’s website.
“The manager has got us well drilled and if we take that into next season with more goals and turning draws into wins, I don’t see why we can’t be challenging for the title.”
Manchester United have not won the title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge in 2013.
