Insider delivers latest update on Man United’s link to Real Madrid forward
Manchester United are working under the assumption that Cristiano Ronaldo will sty at Real Madrid this summer, says Kaveh Solhekol

Manchester United are “wary” of being drawn into a transfer saga surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News HQ reporter has taken to Twitter to claim that the Red Devils are working under the “assumption” that Ronaldo will stay at The Bernabeu beyond the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo’s situation has been a relentless source of speculation in recent days after it was claimed over the weekend that the 32-year-old is keen to quit Real Madrid after being accused of tax fraud by Spanish authorities.
Manchester United have inevitably been touted as a possible destination for Ronaldo over the last few days.
However, journalist Solhekol has claimed that the Red Devils are not reading too much into the speculation and that they are expecting Ronaldo to stay in Madrid beyond the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports reporter Solhekol tweeted: “Cristiano Ronaldo interested in the possibility of returning to Manchester United this summer.
“Told United are still very close to his heart.
“Manchester United wary of being drawn into transfer saga surrounding Ronaldo’s future. Working assumption is that he will stay in Madrid.”
Manchester United sold Ronaldo to Real Madrid back in 2009 for a then-world record transfer fee.
The Red Devils then broke the transfer record themselves last summer when they signed Paul Pogba from Juventus for a reported £89m.
