Journalist claims 23-year-old Monaco star is signing for Man United
Emanuele Giulianelli claims that Manchester United are set to conclude a deal to sign Fabinho this summer, despite reports to the contrary

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Fabinho despite reports that Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for the Monaco midfielder, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The reporter took to Twitter on Tuesday night to reaffirm his belief that the Red Devils are likely to complete a deal to bring the 23-year-old midfielder to Old Trafford this summer.
His update came after regional media reports on Tuesday suggested that Mourinho had dropped his interest in signing Fabinho and was instead keeping tabs on Premier League duo Eric Dier and Nemanja Matic.
However, Giulianelli appears to be adamant that a deal for the midfielder to move to Old Trafford from Monaco will go through.
Giulianelli tweeted on Tuesday evening: “No problems with Fabinho. He’s still going to Manchester United. #MUFCTransfers.”
Fabinho was a regular fixture in the Monaco team last season and scored nine times in 37 Ligue 1 games to help them win the title.
Giulianelli earlier this week claimed that Manchester United are set to sign Fabinho in a £40m deal.
Manchester United are due to officially confirm their first signing of the summer transfer window this week after they agreed a fee with Benfica for defender Victor Lindelof.
The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season following their Europa League success last term.
