Real Madrid open to selling 27-year-old superstar to Man United – report
Real Madrid are open to the possibility of selling Gareth Bale to Manchester United this summer, according to reports
Real Madrid are “open” to the prospect of selling Gareth Bale to Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that the Spanish side would be prepared to negotiate with the Red Devils over the possible sale of the Wales international in order to free up funds for other transfers.
The same story claims that Real Madrid are keen to sign one of Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe or Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and would need to bring in some additional funds to do so.
According to the report, “influential members” of the Real Madrid board have been arguing that Bale could be the high-profile player to leave the club this summer.
The story also claims that the subject of a possible transfer has already been discussed between the two clubs.
Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for a host of new players this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Red Devils secured their spot in the competition by beating Ajax in the Europa League final last month in Stockholm.
