Ryan Giggs tells Jose Mourinho to make these Man United signings
Ryan Giggs wants Jose Mourinho to address Manchester United's lack of goals in the summer transfer window
Ryan Giggs has urged Jose Mourinho to focus on bringing in attacking reinforcements at Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils have inevitably been linked with a host of players in the last few days as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Manchester United were often criticised for their lack of a clinical edge in front of goal last season and their situation has not been helped by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s long-term knee injury.
Mourinho is sure to want to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford this summer as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next term.
And former Manchester United midfielder Giggs admits that he wants to see the Red Devils focus on making some good attacking signings this summer.
Giggs told Sky Sports News HQ: “United need goals.
“All the teams I played in there were goals from everywhere. Sometimes you’d rely on a centre-forward for a season, but more often than not you had midfielders, even defenders, wingers and obviously the forwards all contributing.”
Manchester United booked their place in the group stage of next season’s Champions League with victory over Ajax in the Europa League final last month.
