Tottenham have agreed to sign Turkish starlet Cengiz Under in an £8m deal this summer, according to reports
Tottenham Hotspur are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Cengiz Under in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Turkey.
Turkish radio station Radyospar – as quoted by 101 Great Goals – is reporting that Spurs are leading Manchester United in the race to sign the exciting Turkish talent in the summer.
The report suggests that Premier League runners-up Tottenham have clinched an £8m deal to sign the 19-year-old after holding negotiations with Turkish Super Lig side Başakşehir.
Under, who has been nicknamed the Turkish Paulo Dybala, was thought to be a potential target for Manchester United but the Red Devils haven’t submitted an offer for the teenager.
The left winger scored eight goals and made five assists in 31 appearances in his first season at the Turkish side.
Tottenham finished in second place in the Premier League table and seven points behind eventual champions Chelsea.
Spurs signed five players in 2016 summer transfer window as Mauricio Pochettino looked to cement the north London side’s progress under the Argentinian coach.
