Leicester City want to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea City before letting Riyad Mahrez join Arsenal, say reports
Arsenal have been given a boost in their reported pursuit of Riyad Mahrez as Leicester City are resigned to losing the winger to the Gunners this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Foxes are now expecting to lose their star winger to Arsenal this summer as Arsene Wenger begins to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The same report states that Leicester are prepared to pay £30m to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea City this summer as a replacement for Mahrez.
The story also claims that Leicester want to wrap up the signing of Sigurdsson before letting Mahrez leave the club.
It is also reported that Leicester value Mahrez at around £50m.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new players this summer as Wenger looks to build a squad capable of mounting a title challenge next season.
The north London side finished fifth in the Premier League but ended the season on a high by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
