Michael Owen reacts to Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Maribor
The Liverpool legend heaps praise on Jurgen Klopp's side for a professional 2-0 win against Maribor

Michael Owen warned Liverpool not to get carried away with their 3-0 win against Maribor as Jurgen Klopp’s men took one step closer to the Champions League knockout phase.
Liverpool were looking to cement their place at the top of Group E after hoisting themselves into first place following a 7-0 win at Maribor last time out.
The Merseyside outfit were left frustrated in the first half as Liverpool couldn’t convert their pressure into an opening goal despite scoring seven in Slovenia.
Summer signing Mohamed Salah finally made the breakthrough in the 49th minute with his tenth goal in all competitions following his summer move from AS Roma.
Liverpool vice-captain James Milner missed a second-half penalty following a foul on Roberto Firmino but Emre Can secured three points with a powerful finish.
Substitute Daniel Sturridge scored his first Champions League goal in nearly seven years to make it 3-0 in added time after the England striker finished from close range.
Liverpool sit at the top of Group E and two points clear of Sevilla ahead of their trip to Spain in their penultimate group-stage fixture.
Former Liverpool striker Owen warned the Reds there is still more work to do to secure their place in the Champions League knockout phase.
“It was never an easy one,” Owen told BT Sport.
“11 men were behind the ball. The team defended narrow. You’ve got to hope for a lucky ball. As soon as one goes in, you expect to score two or three more.
“Liverpool have two big games now. They need one more win and it’s job done.”
Liverpool will travel to West Ham in their next Premier League game on Saturday.
