Liverpool are very relaxed, Brendan Rodgers tells Tim Sherwood
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers responds to Tim Sherwood's claims that the Reds are feeling the heat of the title race

Brendan Rodgers has rejected Tim Sherwood’s suggestion that Liverpool are feeling the pressure of the Premier League title race.
The Spurs boss felt Liverpool were visibly nervous in the closing stages of their 2-1 victory over Sunderland on Wednesday night.
There’s certainly no pressure on ourselves. I think we’ve shown that over the course of the season

However, Rodgers is adamant that Liverpool aren’t under pressure as the Reds were never expected to challenge this season, unlike Spurs, who spent £110m on new signings last summer.
“What I can tell you from our perspective is that the players and the group here are very relaxed,” Rodgers told his pre-match media conference.
“I think that there was no expectation on us being where we are [now] so there’s certainly no pressure from ourselves.
“Obviously other teams, and I suppose the likes of Tottenham, will be probably the teams that was looking to be maybe challenging for the league this season.
“If you spent over 100 odd million, it’s a group that was set up to challenge.
“But there’s certainly no pressure on ourselves. I think we’ve shown that over the course of the season.”
Rodgers is anticipating a tough game against the north London side despite their emphatic 5-0 victory at White Hart Lane earlier in the season.
“There’s still 21 points to play for but you get three points at a time so you’ve just got to focus on your next game,” added Rodgers.
“Of course we’re looking forward to the game. We had an outstanding performance up there and it’s been one of many great performances we’ve had this season.
“But it’ll be a tough game for us and we know that. They’ve got some really good players and Tim has got his passion behind the group so we know it’ll be a tough game.”
