I love the banter! Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge not fazed by Fulham stick
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge says he relishes getting stick from opposition supporters after a hat-trick at Craven Cottage

Daniel Sturridge insists he relishes banter from opposition supporters after the Liverpool striker silenced Fulham fans with a hat-trick at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The Reds fell behind after Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov headed past Pepe Reina but Sturridge levelled with a superb solo effort just past the half-hour mark.
The 23-year-old, who arrived in a £12m deal from Chelsea in January, added a second after the interval before Philippe Coutinho and the England international combined to complete his treble.
Sturridge had to contend with a series of chants from the Fulham support during the 3-1 win in west London, but the former Blues man said it only served to motivate him.
“I love that. I hope the fans do it every game,” said Sturridge. “It doesn’t really matter what they say to me.
“I love the banter, it’s what I live for. So hopefully they’ll keep giving me stick!
“For me it’s all about hard work and it’s down to me to be dedicated to my job and not to let myself, my family or my manager down. It’s up to me to show what I’m capable of doing.”
Sturridge has scored 10 goals in 13 Premier League appearances for the Reds after completing a move to Anfield from Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
