Jamie Carragher: Why I’m so pleased for Liverpool FC summer signing after 5-0 win
The Liverpool legend singles out Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's performance in a 5-0 win over Swansea

Jamie Carragher was delighted to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain score in front of The Kop in Liverpool FC’s resounding 5-0 win over Swansea City at Anfield on Boxing Day.
The Reds welcomed Welsh outfit Swansea in search of an immediate return to winning ways following a dramatic 3-3 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week.
Philippe Coutinho broke the deadlock with a deliciously curled finish past Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski before Roberto Firmino made it 2-0 with a sumptuous volley from his compatriot’s free-kick.
Trent Alexander-Arnold scored his first Premier League goal to make it 3-0 before Firmino netted his second of the games thanks to unselfish play from Egypt international Mohamed Salah.
Oxlade-Chamberlain polished off a clinical performance with a late goal to score his second Premier League goal of his fledgling Liverpool FC career so far.
Former Reds defender Carragher was delighted to see the England international cap a strong performance with a well0-deserved goal.
“I am really pleased for this lad. The question is does he score enough goals,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“Klopp wants that more from him. He has got his goal at the Kop end. The ball bounced around a little bit. It is a great finish. He lobs it over the goalkeeper into the far corner. He showed his strength and persistence.
“It’s a great feeling for any Liverpool player to score at the end.”
Liverpool FC signed Oxlade-Chamberlain in a £40m deal from Arsenal on transfer deadline day in the summer.
The England star opted to move to Liverpool FC ahead of interest from defending Premier League champions Chelsea.
The Reds signed four players in the summer transfer window to improve their squad ahead of a return to Europe.
