Mark Lawrenson makes Champions League prediction about Liverpool FC
The Liverpool FC legend rules out Jurgen Klopp's side winning the Champions League this term

Mark Lawrenson doesn’t believe Liverpool FC will win the Champions League title this season.
The Reds booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals earlier this month after a resounding win over FC Porto.
Liverpool FC were 5-0 winners against FC Porto in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash last month.
Sadio Mane netted a hat-trick in Portugal to help Jurgen Klopp’s side build a commanding first-leg lead.
The Reds played out a goalless draw at Anfield to secure their progression to the Champions League last eight.
Liverpool FC were rewarded for their efforts with a last-four draw against Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Former Reds defender Lawrenson doesn’t believe Klopp’s defence is good enough to win the Champions League title.
“I don’t think they can win the Champions League,” Lawrenson told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“They could have a bad half hour at the back and go out of the competition.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Champions League since 2005 when Rafael Benitez’s men came from behind to beat AC Milan on penalties.
The Reds lost 2-1 to the Serie A giants AC Milan in Athens in the 2007 Champions League final.
Klopp’s side lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Sevilla in the Europa League final in Basel in 2016.
