Liverpool FC are considering a move to sign Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy as an alternative for Alisson Becker, according to a report in England.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Reds are growing frustrated in the race to sign Brazil international Alisson despite being linked with a move to sign the South American.
The same article states that the Merseyside outfit are set to be priced out of the deal to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC could now turn their focus to Southampton number two McCarthy as an alternative to Alisson and Oblak in the current transfer window.
Loris Karius started in the Champions League final last month following an impressive second half of the 2017-18 season.
The German shot stopper made two mistakes in a 3-1 loss to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League showpiece.
