Graeme Souness reacts to Mohamed Salah’s display in Liverpool FC’s 1-1 draw with Everton
Graeme Souness heaps praise on Mohamed Salah after Liverpool FC's 1-1 draw with Everton in Sunday's Merseyside derby

Graeme Souness hailed Mohamed Salah’s strength after the Egypt international scored Liverpool FC’s goal in their 1-1 draw with Everton in Sunday’s Merseyside derby clash.
The attacker has been in sensational form for the Reds since signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side from Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute at Anfield when he held off challenges from the Everton defence and curled a superb left-footed shot into the top corner.
Wayne Rooney equalised for Liverpool FC in the 77th minute from the penalty spot after Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fouled by Dejan Lovren.
It ended up being a frustrating afternoon for the Reds after dominating for large spells.
The 25-year-old Salah has now scored 13 goals and made three assists in the Premier League for Liverpool FC so far this season.
And former Liverpool FC star Souness was extremely impressed by what he saw from Salah as he helped to inspire his side to victory.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Souness said: “It was a super goal.
“Liverpool had all the possession, playing in Everton’s half but not making the goalkeeper make saves.
“The goal was certainly worth waiting for. He’s just got too much strength. It surprises me. He’s a powerful little man. The technique is super. It was real strength.”
Salah will be hoping to feature again for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with a home clash against West Bromwich Albion.
The Reds are now fourth in the Premier League table as they bid to try and get themselves into the title race in the hectic festive period in the top flight.
They are two points behind Chelsea after 16 games of the new campaign.
