Ian Wright discusses Mohamed Salah's impressive form for Liverpool FC so far this season
Ian Wright has warned Mohamed Salah that the true test of his ability will come next season, when opponents are more used to the threat posed by the Liverpool FC star.
The Egypt international has been in sensational form for the Merseyside outfit since signing for the Reds from Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah has scored 14 goals and made three assists in 18 Premier League games for Jurgen Klopp’s side to help them up into fourth place in the table.
The attacker has been earning huge amounts of praise for his displays for the Merseyside outfit and he has stepped his game up considerably since his failed spell at Chelsea a couple of years ago.
Although Wright has been hugely impressed by how well Salah has been playing in recent weeks, the Arsenal legend has warned him that teams will be more used to coping with his threat next season.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Wright said: “To have the season Salah is having, it does seem like a proper purple patch he is in.
“It will be interesting to see whether teams will be ready next season when Salah is doing the same things.
“It will be interesting to see how he does then. But right now, he is in the form of his life.”
Salah will be expecting to start for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Friday night with a top-four showdown against Arsenal at The Emirates.
The Reds head into the game in fourth place in the table and one point ahead of Arsene Wenger’s men.
