Liverpool FC are hopeful that Mo Salah will be fit to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday 20 October, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are releived to learn that Salah didn’t sustain a serious injury after Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury was booked for a mistimed challenge on the Liverpool FC star.

The same article states that it was initially feared that Salah may have suffered serious damage to his Achilles after the Egypt international had to be substituted following the challenge.

But according to the same story, the Liverpool FC medical staff hope Salah will be ready to face Manchester United after the international break following some treatment.

Liverpool FC were 2-1 winners against Leicester City on Saturday thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and James Milner to preserve their perfect start to the season.

The Reds are sitting eight points clear of defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the title race thanks to their 100 per cent start to the new campaign.

Liverpool FC will make the trip to Manchester United on Sunday 20 October as Klopp’s side look to inflict more misery upon their bitter Premier League rivals.

The Reds finished in second place in the Premier League table last season.
