Jurgen Klopp sends advice to Liverpool FC signing ahead of West Ham clash
The Liverpool FC manager offers advice to Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker ahead of the West Ham clash

Jurgen Klopp has urged Alisson Becker “to be himself” ahead of the goalkeeper’s Liverpool FC debut against West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds manager signed Brazil number one Alisson in a £67m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma to finally address what has been a long term problem in the Liverpool FC team.
The 25-year-old established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Italy over the past 12 months or so since Alisson replaced Wojciech Szczesny at AS Roma.
Liverpool FC have paid the price for not having a world-class goalkeeper after a series of mistakes from German goalkeeper Loris Karius and Belgian shot stopper Simon Mignolet.
Karius made two big mistakes in Liverpool FC’s 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last term.
Speaking to his pre-match media conference at Melwood training ground about the new Liverpool FC signing, Klopp said:
“Just be yourself in this case because he is a very calm person, very laidback during the week. He is completely different on the pitch but around the pitch he is like that.
“Being a Premier League player you need to tick a few boxes; as a goalkeeper it helps if you are calm. It’s about making the right decisions in the right moment. He has settled really quickly. He has been in for two weeks [but it] looks like he has been in for much longer.”
The Reds signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
Liverpool FC finally concluded a £48m swoop to sign RB Leipzig mdifielder Naby Keita.
The Merseyside outfit signed Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri in a cut price £13.5m deal from Stoke City.
