Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Bournemouth v Liverpool FC

Mark Lawrenson is backing Liverpool FC to return to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Bournemouth 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds head into the game after having played out a frustrating goalless draw with West Brom at Anfield on Wednesday night, a result which followed their 1-1 draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool FC are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and 18 points behind leaders Manchester City after 17 games of the season.
The Merseyside outfit travel to Bournemouth on Sunday looking to get their top flight campaign back on track after their disappointing recent draws.
And former Liverpool FC star Lawrenson is fully expecting to see the Reds claim a comfortable victory against Eddie Howe’s side on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “Liverpool have had an iffy week, dropping points against Everton and West Brom. The Reds were pretty ordinary against the Baggies.
“Jurgen Klopp played the so-called ‘Fab Four’ after people moaned when he rested a couple of them at the weekend, but it didn’t make any difference – they all just had a poor night.
“Bournemouth have hit another sticky patch too, although their poor run has lasted a bit longer.
“The Cherries came back from 3-1 down with 15 minutes to go to win this game 4-3 in December 2016, but I don’t see them staging a repeat.
“In many ways this is the perfect game for Liverpool, because Bournemouth will not sit in. They will come at the Reds, and I think Klopp’s side will pick them off.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season as they secured their place in the Champions League for this term.
The Reds will take on FC Porto for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals in the new year after the draw was made in Nyon last week.
Liverpool FC are yet to win a trophy since Jurgen Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
