The Man United legend has been impressed with Mohamed Salah's start to his Anfield career
Owen Hargreaves says it is a pleasure to watch Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool FC forward’s devastating performances this season.
The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Salah’s move was initially met with some skepticism given his well-documented struggles at Chelsea FC in 2014.
However, the 25-year-old didn’t take long to win over the Liverpool FC supporters following a prolific start to his Anfield career.
Salah netted four times in a 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening to take his tally to 28 goals this season.
Indeed, the summer signing has become the first Liverpool FC player in the Premier League era to score 36 times in all competition.
Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves lavished praise Salah for his outstanding performances in the Liverpool FC team this term.
“He’s had a devastating season with the amount of goals that he’s scored,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.
“He plays the game the right way and always has a smile on his face. He scores goals, assists and is a team player.
“It’s such a pleasure to watch him. He makes something happen every time he touches the ball and rarely wastes possession.”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table but two points adrift of second-placed Manchester United.
The Reds haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
Liverpool FC will take on Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League round of 16 next month.
