Jurgen Klopp has warned Liverpool FC that the Reds will find it difficult to win their first Premier League title.
The Merseyside outfit have been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window following Liverpool FC’s fourth placed finish in the Premier League last term.
The Reds signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco at the start of the summer transfer window after the South American had been previously linked to Manchester United.
Guinean midfielder Naby Keita linked up with the Reds squad at the start of July after Liverpool FC agreed a fee with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig to sign the African in 2017.
Xherdan Shaqiri arrived at Liverpool FC in a cut-price deal from relegated Stoke City to add some more depth to Klopp’s attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
Liverpool FC spent a world record fee for a goalkeeper on AS Roma’s number one Alisson Becker after the Merseyside outfit signed the shot stopper in a £67m deal.
Asked about Liverpool FC’s expectations for the 2017-18 Premier League season, Klopp told the Liverpool Echo:
“The league will be difficult.
“It is not about judging our situation and thinking ‘wow, really good’.
“We need to be ready each week, not only for a few games. That is our challenge.”
Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last season.
