Michael Owen has praised Mohamed Salah’s “magnificent” start to his Liverpool FC career.

The Reds signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

Salah arrived at Anfield almost three-and-a-half years after a disappointing six-month stint at Chelsea in 2014.

The Liverpool FC signing has scored 14 times in 18 games in the Premier League to make an incredible start to the 2017-18 season.

Salah has also netted six times in eight Champions League appearances to take his tally to 20 goals in all competitions.

The 25-year-old is sitting at the top of the Premier League’s goal-scoring charts ahead of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, Wayne Rooney and Romelu Lukaku.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is impressed with Salah’s impact at the Merseyside outfit.

“Congratulations to Mo Salah who became the first PL player to reach 20 goals in all competitions so far this season,” Owen told BetVictor.

“He has been quite magnificent for the Reds so far this term.”

Liverpool FC will make the trip to top-six rivals Arsenal in their next Premier League game at The Emirates on Friday night.

The Reds were 4-0 winners against Arsene Wenger’s side in their third top-flight fixture of the current campaign.

Salah scored an impressive solo goal in their landslide win against the north London outfit.

Liverpool FC are sitting in fourth place in the Premier League table and are a point ahead of Arsenal in fifth spot.
