Jamie Redknapp: Liverpool FC summer signing looks ‘different’ since leaving Arsenal
The Liverpool FC legend is impressed with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's transformation following his move to Anfield

Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like a “completely different player” since his summer move to Liverpool FC from Arsenal in the summer.
The Reds signed the England international in a £40m deal from their top-four rivals Arsenal on transfer deadline day despite passing a medical at the defending Premier League champions Chelsea.
Oxlade-Chamberlain rejected the chance to sign a new deal with Arsenal in favour of a fresh start at Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp used the summer signing sparingly in the opening months of the Premier League season.
The 24-year-old scored on his Premier League debut for Liverpool FC after the versatile midfielder found the net in a 4-1 win at West Ham United at the London Stadium back in November.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a first-team regular over the past month or so and the England midfielder netted Liverpool FC’s fifth goal in a 5-0 victory over basement club Swansea City on Boxing Day.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Redknapp has been impressed with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s transformation at Anfield after he started to regress under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal following a seven-season stay at The Emirates.
“I wasn’t sure about the move for him to start with and I was wondering how he was going to do, but he has surprised me,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“I looked at him at Arsenal and it was like he was treading water and going nowhere, but under Jurgen Klopp I am seeing a completely different player. I am seeing he is fit, with a great attitude and wanting to win tackles.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored two times and has made two assists in 17 appearances in the Premier League.
