Ian Wright has admitted that he has even been surprised by Mohamed Salah’s superb start to life at Liverpool FC.
The Egypt international moved to the Anfield outfit in a £40m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah has wasted no time leaving his mark on the Reds following a return of 10 goals in 13 games in the Premier League so far this season.
The African forward has netted five times in 10 games in the Champions League and the League Cup to make a blistering start to his Anfield career.
Salah struggle during his six-month spell at Chelsea in 2014 as he failed to force his way into the Blues team under Jose Mourinho despite winning the Premier League and the League Cup.
The 25-year-old netted his 10th Premier League goal in a 1-1 draw with defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last monht.
Former Arsenal legend Wright has admitted that Salah’s form has been surprising.
“He has taken the league by storm,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He has totally surprised me how well he has settled into the Premier League.”
Salah spent one season at Fiorentina before 24 months at AS Roma in the Italian capital.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
