Stan Collymore raves about 27-year-old Liverpool FC star
The Liverpool FC legend heaps praise on Virgil van Dijk after Saturday's 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion

Stan Collymore singled out Virgil van Dijk for praise after Liverpool FC maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.
The Reds signed the Netherlands international in a £75m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton in the January transfer window.
Van Dijk has already made a big impact on the Liverpool FC team in the eight months since his world record move to Anfield.
The former Celtic star helped Liverpool FC to reach the Champions League final before a 3-1 loss to La Liga side Real Madrid in Kiev back in May.
Van Dijk played a role in the Merseyside outfit securing successive top-four finishes under Jurgen Klopp to ensure their place in the Champions League.
The 27-year-old has made an impressive start to the current campaign after Liverpool FC won their opening three Premier League victories without conceding a goal.
The Netherlands international managed to marshal the Reds defence in a difficult 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield last weekend.
Former Liverpool FC striker Collymore heaped praise on Van Dijk for his excellent performance.
“Considered by some to be the final piece of the Liverpool puzzle, and a man who proved once again why he commanded a £75million transfer fee this weekend,” Collymore told Daily Mirror.
“As Manchester City dropped points, Liverpool ground out a 1-0 win over Brighton, and it was the Reds’ defence that ensured victory.”
Liverpool FC signed AS Monaco’s Fabinho, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, Stoke City playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker in the summer.
