Xherdan Shaqiri sends message to Liverpool FC supporters about Jurgen Klopp
The new Liverpool FC playmaker discusses the chance to play under German head coach Jurgen Klopp

Xherdan Shaqiri has hinted that the chance to work with Jurgen Klopp played a big role in his decision to move to Liverpool FC this summer.
The Reds signed the Switzerland international in a £13.5m deal from Championship side Stoke City in the 2018 summer transfer window.
Champions League runners up Liverpool FC brought in Shaqiri to add more depth to the Reds squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Swiss playmaker scored eight times in 38 games in all competitions last season after Shaqiri was unable to help Stoke avoid relegation.
The 26-year-old made his debut in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over West Ham United at Anfield in their Premier League opener earlier this month.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s matchday programme about his decision to move to Anfield, Shaqiri said:
“I have known him (Klopp) for a long time from when I was playing in Germany, and I knew it was the right thing for me. I had a few options but this felt right.
“The fitness coach, Andreas [Kornmayer], was also with me at Bayern Munich too so I knew a little of his work and I also knew our nutritionist Mona [Nemmer] who came to Bayern later.
“It’s always nice to have a few familiar faces around when you move to a new place of work.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in the Premier League table to secure Champions League football in successive seasons under Klopp.
The Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final last term to miss out on a first trophy under the German head coach.
Liverpool FC signed Fabinho, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
