Jamie Carragher predicts where Liverpool FC will finish after Man United draw
Jamie Carragher is not expecting to see Liverpool FC challenge for the Premier League title this season

Jamie Carragher admits that he is not expecting to see Liverpool challenge for the Premier League title this season – but says the top four should still in their sights.
The Reds were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Manchester United at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime to leave them significantly off the pace in the race for the title.
Liverpool finished fourth in the Premier League last season as they secured Champions League qualification in Jurgen Klopp’s first full campaign in charge.
However, it has been something of a frustrating start to the season for Klopp’s men with the Reds having only won three of their opening eight Premier League games.
And Liverpool legend Carragher is not expecting to see the Reds mount a Premier League title challenge this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Manchester United’s draw with Liverpool, Carragher said: “Even at the start of the season I don’t think most Liverpool fans thought they were going to win the title or really contest – I certainly didn’t.
“I think Liverpool fans will be more interested in Arsenal’s result really.
“There’s still a long way to go but I think Liverpool will be looking around the top four positions to see if the teams there are dropping points.”
Manchester United, meanwhile, are second in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after eight games of the new campaign.
The Red Devils are aiming to win the title for the first time since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson in the 2012-13 campaign.
Liverpool, meanwhile, return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with a trip to Maribor.
