Craig Bellamy believes Liverpool FC are more likely than Manchester City to win the Champions League title.

The Merseyside outfit made a positive start to their European campaign following a narrow win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool FC were 3-2 winners against the Ligue 1 title holders thanks to goals from Daniel Sturridge, James Milner and Roberto Firmino.

The Reds are sitting at the top of the group ahead of their next fixture against Serie A runners up Napoli in Italy.

Klopp’s side reached the Champions League final last season before a 3-1 loss to La Liga side Real Madrid in Kiev.

Manchester City, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to Ligue 1 side Lyon to make an underwhelming start to their campaign.

Liverpool FC were 5-1 aggregate winners against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals last term.

Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy believes the Reds are more likely than Pep Guardiola’s men to win the Champions League.

“I understand why Man City are favourites but I would still put Liverpool ahead of them. They have the experience,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

Liverpool FC have won three of their last four meetings against Manchester City to give Klopp’s men some confidence.

The Merseyside outfit signed Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri in the 2018 summer transfer window.

The Reds will take on Serie A runners up Napoli on Wednesday in their next Champions League fixture following a 3-2 win over PSG last time out.
