Liverpool FC, Man United interested in want-away 27-year-old Colombian – report
Liverpool FC and Manchester United are being linked with a deal to sign James Rodriguez in the summer, according to a report

Liverpool FC and Manchester United are both interested in a potential deal to sign James Rodriguez this summer, according to a report in Germany.
Sky Sport Germany, as quoted by The Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Colombia international is set to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window when his loan at Bayern Munich comes to an end.
The same article states that Rodriguez is attracting interest from a host of top clubs in Europe, including Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the same story, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is planning an overhaul of his squad in the summer and Rodriguez will be part of the cull.
The Colombian midfielder moved to los Blancos in a big-money deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the 2014 summer transfer window.
However, Rodriguez has struggled to have an impact at Real Madrid and the 27-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to rebuild the Red Devils squad in the summer following a disappointing Premier League campaign.
The Norwegian coach is though to be eager to add homegrown talent to the Manchester United team, although Rodriguez would provide a wealth of experience.
Liverpool FC, meanwhile, finished as Premier League runners up and they’ll take on Tottenham Hotspur in next month’s Champions League final.
