Graeme Souness states his prediction for Man United v Liverpool FC
Graeme Souness warns Liverpool FC that their recent good form will count for nothing when they take on Man United

Graeme Souness has warned Liverpool FC that their recent good form will count for nothing when they take on Manchester United in the crunch Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Merseyside outfit have been in sensational form in recent weeks and have been earning plenty of praise for their impressive attacking displays.
Liverpool FC head into the game fresh from having booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 5-0 aggregate win over FC Porto on Tuesday night.
Manchester United, meanwhile, warmed up for their crunch clash by coming from two goals down to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
But Liverpool FC legend Souness has warned that form counts for nothing ahead of this crunch clash.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Souness said: “It’s the biggest game in English football involving the two most successful teams who don’t like each other much.
“The recent form doesn’t come into it – that’s what derbies are about. Liverpool are on fire and are scoring lots of goal but that will count for nothing. Manchester United are huffing and puffing but they are digging results out. They’ve got resilience.
“They dig results out but that will count for nothing at the weekend.”
Manchester United are currently in second place in the Premier League table but Liverpool FC know that victory on Saturday would lift them above their bitter local rivals and into second spot with eight games left to play this season.
Liverpool FC finished in the top four last term but Manchester United ended up in sixth place in Jose Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
