Possible Liverpool FC boost as Watford consider selling midfielder – report
Watford are considering selling Liverpool FC target Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer, say reports
Watford are considering having to sell Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer to balance the books, handing the likes of Liverpool FC a boost, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Watford may sell both midfielder Doucoure and winger Richarlison due to financial issues, and that could hand a boost to the clubs keeping tabs on the duo.
The same story says that Liverpool FC, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all keeping tabs on the £40m-rated Doucoure this summer with a view to a possible move.
The 25-year-old French midfielder is likely to leave Watford according to the same report, with the story branding it “inevitable” that he will be on his way out of the club this summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of key signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Reds finished fourth in the top flight last term and reached the Champions League final, where they were beaten by Real Madrid last month.
Liverpool FC have already completed their first signing of the summer by tying up a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to the club.
