Jurgen Klopp sends message to Liverpool FC fans about Alberto Moreno
Jurgen Klopp explains why he was delighted to see Alberto Moreno make his return to action for Liverpool FC

Jurgen Klopp has admitted his delight at seeing Alberto Moreno make his return to action for Liverpool FC at the weekend.
The Spanish defender came on to play for the final three minutes of Liverpool FC’s 4-1 thrashing of West Ham United at Anfield at the weekend as the Reds gave their hopes of a top four finish a fresh boost.
Moreno has been struggling with injury in recent weeks and Saturday was his first appearance in the Premier League since the 3-0 win over Stoke back at the end of November.
And the Reds manager has admitted his delight at having Moreno back available for selection again after the dominant victory over West Ham, despite Andy Robertson’s top form at left back.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday, Klopp said: “It’s good. We need them all. They all used the opportunity.
“I loved the situation that I could give Alberto this little sniff of a game again – because he deserves it. He trains on [such a high] level.
“We need the boys. Robbo is in fantastic shape at the moment, of course, but what happens if he gets the flu? You need the next one still in good shape.
“We cannot talk after a game and exchange excuses and say, ‘we had a problem here or there’. The boys need to be ready all the time, constantly. That’s something we really have to make sure.”
Liverpool FC now have the week off to prepare for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and finish in the top four for the second season running under Klopp.
Liverpool FC are all but through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after their 5-0 win over FC Porto earlier in the month.
