Liverpool FC star admits he owes Jurgen Klopp ‘everything’
Trent Alexander-Arnold opens up about the huge impact Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp has had on his development
Trent Alexander-Arnold has paid tribute to Jurgen Klopp for the huge impact the Liverpool FC boss has had on his career so far.
Alexander-Arnold has developed into a key player at Anfield under the German coach’s guidance and he won his first major trophy as a Reds star last season when they won the Champions League.
The 21-year-old has made a fine start to the new season for Klopp’s men, starting all eight of their Premier League games to help them make an incredible 100 per cent start to the campaign.
Alexander-Arnold has scored one goal and made two assists in the Premier League so far this season, and he has also notched up one assist in the Champions League for the Reds.
Asked what debt of gratitude he owed Klopp for the upwards trajectory of his career, Alexander-Arnold is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “Everything, really. Without him, who knows what would have happened.
“He’s the one that’s given me the most opportunities – more opportunities than I could even ask for.
“He’s put a lot of trust and faith in me personally and I’ve tried to repay him every time he’s done that.”
Alexander-Arnold will be expecting to start for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to arch rivals Manchester United.
The Reds currently find themselves a staggering eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table after having won all of their opening games in the top flight.
