New Liverpool FC signing reveals conversation with Jurgen Klopp
New Liverpool FC signing Alisson Becker reveals how a phone call with Jurgen Klopp helped to convince him to move to Anfield

Alisson Becker has revealed that he had a short telephone conversation with Jurgen Klopp before signing for Liverpool FC this week.
The Brazilian goalkeeper became the Merseyside outfit’s latest signing on Thursday night when he completed his big-money move to Anfield from AS Roma.
Alisson had been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool FC throughout the summer and Chelsea FC had also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old.
The Brazil international has been brought in by Klopp as he searched for reinforcements in goal following Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare last season.
And the goalkeeper himself has now revealed how a short phone call with Klopp helped to convince him that a move to Anfield was the right choice for him.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Alisson said: “We had a short telephone conversation, he told me about the team and his style and a bit about what I can expect here in Liverpool – the city as well as the club.
“And the organisation of the club and the sporting project here. The club needs no introduction: the badge, the trophies, the achievements. They speak for themselves.
“He spoke about his coaching style. It was a short conversation but a positive one and I’m looking forward to meeting him in person.
“I’m mainly looking forward to getting on the pitch and working alongside him and my team-mates, doing what I love most – playing football.”
Liverpool FC are looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season as they look to try and win their first major trophy under Klopp since his appointment in 2015.
The Reds ended up in fourth place in the Premier League table last season and lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid back in May.
