Besiktas have made an approach to Liverpool FC to sign goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Turkish side are keen on a move to bring the goalkeeper in this summer after the Reds signed Alisson Becker from AS Roma.
Liverpool FC moved to bring in the Brazilian goalkeeper this summer after Loris Karius’ future at the club was thrown into doubt following his nightmare in the Champions League final.
The same report says that talks between Besiktas and Liverpool FC are ongoing as the Turkish club look to try and sign the Belgian international this summer.
Liverpool FC have been relatively busy in the summer transfer window, with the Reds having brought in Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson so far.
Jurgen Klopp will be aiming for his side to be among the main contenders for the Premier League title next season as the Reds look to try and win their first trophy under the German manager.
The Merseyside outfit reached the Champions League final but were beaten by Real Madrid last term, as they finished in fourth place in the Premier League table under Klopp.
