Liverpool FC keen on signing Chelsea FC star this summer – report
Liverpool FC are leading the race to sign Thibaut Courtois this summer, according to reports in Spain
Liverpool FC have moved into pole position in the race to sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Reds are keen on bringing the Belgian shot-stopper to Anfield this summer as they look to bolster their options between the posts ahead of next season.
The same report says that Liverpool FC and Real Madrid are the leading candidates to sign Courtois this summer amid the uncertainty about his future at Chelsea FC.
However, it is also claimed that it is Liverpool FC who are the front-runners to secure Courtois’ signature this summer and that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp feels that a deal to bring the Belgian to Anfield is “feasible”.
According to the same report, Chelsea FC have done their best to try and keep Courtois at the club beyond the summer, but a move away looks likely.
The Blues ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table as they missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
The west London side did end the campaign on a high by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final last month.
