Philippe Coutinho sends clear message about his Liverpool FC future – report
Philippe Coutinho is trying to force through a transfer from Liverpool FC to Barcelona, say reports
Philippe Coutinho has gone on strike at Liverpool FC in a bid to force through a transfer to Barcelona in the January window, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Brazilian playmaker will not wear the Liverpool FC shirt again and that his head is already in Barcelona.
Coutinho was heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona over the summer but a switch failed to materialise as Liverpool FC opted to keep hold of the talented 25-year-old.
The playmaker was left out of Liverpool FC’s squad for their clash with Burnley on new year’s day as Jurgen Klopp’s men claimed a 2-1 win.
The same story says that Coutinho will not play for Liverpool FC while the talk of a possible move to Camp Nou rumbles on.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are preparing for their first FA Cup clash of 2018 when they take on Everton at Anfield in the third round on Friday night.
The Reds are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification for the second season running under Klopp.
Liverpool FC will take on FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League next month.
