Journalist delivers latest update on Philippe Coutinho’s Liverpool FC situation
Kaveh Solhekol delivers the latest news for Liverpool FC fans about Philippe Coutinho's future

Philippe Coutinho remains “desperate” to sign for Barcelona from Liverpool before the transfer window closes on Thursday, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Brazilian playmaker’s situation has been a relentless source of speculation in recent weeks after he emerged as a prime target for Barcelona following the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool have remained firm in their public stance that Coutinho is not for sale this summer, but the 25-year-old is thought to be very keen on a move to Camp Nou after handing in a transfer request.
The clock is ticking down on summer transfer window and it remains to be seen whether Coutinho will be able to secure his dream move to Barcelona before the deadline at 23:00 BST on Thursday.
And Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has now delivered the latest update for Liverpool fans about Coutinho’s situation.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning, Solhekol said: “Let’s stay with Liverpool and the latest on the future of Philippe Coutinho. Where does this all leave him? Is he going to get his dream move to Barcelona?
“He’s flown to Brazil and he’s training with the national team. And guess what? His back injury has got much better. His Brazilian doctor says Coutinho is perfect physical condition and that the back injury that has stopped him playing for Liverpool has been caused by emotional stress.
“We’re told that Coutinho is still desperate to go to Barcelona. They say they’ll sign one or two players this week.”
Liverpool have signed four players so far this summer after having tied up deals for Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke, Andy Robertson and Naby Keita. Keita will join the Reds next summer after his move was confirmed on Tuesday by Liverpool.
The Reds are second in the Premier League after their 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal on Sunday.
