Dejan Lovren sets Liverpool FC target for next season
Dejan Lovren is hoping that Liverpool FC can go one step further in the Premier League next season

Dejan Lovren is hoping that Liverpool FC can go one step better and win the Premier League title next season.
The Reds finished in second place in the table last term and just a point behind champions Manchester City as they missed out on the title by a whisker.
Liverpool FC only lost one game in the Premier League last season and they earned plenty of praise for their fine attacking displays under Jurgen Klopp.
The Merseyside outfit did enjoy a successful end to the campaign when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to win the Champions League final.
However, the Reds will be focused on trying to go one step better in the Premier League next season as they look to win their second major trophy under Klopp.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Lovren said: “We’ll go again step by step.
“Let’s focus on each game in the Premier League, on each game in the Champions League again. It will be, like we know, a battle between the top four. They are good teams, especially Man City, so they also again want to prove [they are ready].
“But we are also one of the contenders and I am confident in this team because we are growing each year, we are each year better, so I hope we can beat the 97 points.”
The 30-year-old Lovren scored one goal in 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool FC last season.
He was limited to just 11 starts in the top flight under Klopp last term as they finished in second place in the Premier League table.
Liverpool FC will kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Norwich City on 9 August.
